Vintage and Classic

The Vintage and Classic festival is a unique blend of fine wine, gourmet food, and classic cars, held annually in McLaren Vale, and organised by the McLaren Vale Vintage and Classic Association.

The event combines a vintage car parade with wine and food celebrations at local wineries. The parade features over 500 classic cars from around the country, including vintage sports cars, muscle cars, and historic vehicles. The cars are showcased on McLaren Vale’s main street before proceeding to participating wineries.

Each winery hosts tastings of its latest releases, including McLaren Vale’s renowned Shiraz, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Guests can also enjoy live music, food trucks, and gourmet platters prepared by local chefs.

Participating wineries create unique experiences such as vertical tastings, winemaker talks, and blending workshops. The festival’s “Car & Wine Trail” allows guests to follow the parade route, stopping at wineries to sample wines and chat with winemakers.

The event concludes with a large gathering at a central location, where car enthusiasts and wine lovers can mingle while enjoying live music and food.
